Dr. Kaicong Wu is a visiting fellow at ARG. He is an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong. He holds a Ph.D. in Architecture from Princeton University, along with a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Architecture from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His current research focuses on generative design and game theory, utilizing generative AI, large language models, deep learning, and architectural robotics to advance spatial justice, overcome digital and physical constraints, and promote distributed design decision making. Before his move to Hong Kong, Kaicong conducted research on parametric housing with the MIT CarbonHouse team (remote collaboration due to COVID-19 restrictions). Prior to his Ph.D., he also practiced in design firms, such as MAD Architects and kokkugia.
