Dr. Salma Mozaffari

Dr. Salma Mozaffari is an affiliated postdoctoral researcher at ARG and a postdoctoral research associate at the Form Finding Lab at Princeton University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering. She holds a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from ETH Zurich. Before joining Princeton University, Mozaffari was a postdoctoral fellow and a lecturer at the University of Michigan’s Taubman College. Her extensive research experience includes the application of additive and robotic manufacturing in construction, optimization theories, and algebraic geometry in computational structural design, as well as statistical data analysis and signal processing in structural health monitoring. She also has multifaceted professional experience in the United States and Switzerland, where she worked on various projects, including the design, rehabilitation, and inspection of buildings and bridges.

Mozaffari is particularly enthusiastic about interdisciplinary research at the interface of construction automation, robotics, and eco-friendly additive manufacturing. At Princeton, her research primarily explores how robot learning and generative AI can advance automated construction processes.
